We installed approximately 60′ (18m) of custom-designed guardrail to fit around 3 different hatch locations on 3 different roof sections where workers were exposed to a fall hazard every time they accessed or exited the roof. One of the hatches happened to be located on a significantly sloping roof that required our design to incorporate a level change to ensure the rail had an aesthetically clean look from the ground level. All the installed rails now protect workers form a fall at the building edge and also provide a convenient handhold when exiting and entering the hatch to further increase safety.
